The symptoms of being bit by the POTA bug include a nearly irresistible urge to get out and activate! Thankfully at this point in life Saturdays are pretty well free of obligations, so off I went to scratch the POTA itch.

I won’t go in depth about the park, see this Sept ‘22 activation report for details. Today’s outing was nearly identical, from the parking spot to the operating position and antenna setup. The only substantial difference was today I was running CW instead of FT8.

We may still be experiencing deep fades on 14 MHz due to solar flaring aimed at earth. Nevertheless, I was able to log 12 contacts in 20 minutes. So we were in and out in under an hour! Not bad.
